David Hardy / Suisse Marocain

Board Member KILONGA e.V.

I was born on 18.01.1967 between Tangier (Morocco) and Geneva (Switzerland), grew up in Lahnstein on the Rhine, graduated from high school in Koblenz and then studied from 1990 to 1996 “Free Painting” at the Art Academy in Karlsruhe. After graduating as a master student of Prof. Erwin Gross, I settled in Paris.

I am a founding member of the artists’ collective “Musée Igor Balut” and work in the artists’ house “59 Rivoli”.

This year some of my works were shown in the exhibition “Confluentes Grenzen aufbrechen” at the Ludwig Museum.

I live and work several months a year on the island of Madagascar, one of the poorest countries on earth. My wish is to improve the living conditions of the children in Madagascar.

Board Member KILONGA e.V.

My name is Thomas Mittendorf and I was born on 27.11.1967 in Koblenz. I graduated from the Hilda-Gymnasium Koblenz, where I met David Hardy, dit le Suisse Marocain.

I studied law in Trier from 1988 to 1994. After my legal internship in Koblenz, from 1994 to 1996, I settled in Munich as a lawyer in a law firm specializing in liability and insurance law.

From 2002 to 2006 I held several positions in the German management team and from 2007 to 2008 in the European management team of a British insurance company.

In 2008, I returned to Munich as a partner in a law firm specializing in liability and insurance law, by then a specialist lawyer for liability and insurance law.

Since 2002 I have been a guest lecturer of the Bavarian State Ministry for the education of legal trainees and since 2010 I have been a lecturer at the Hagen Law School.

Since a reunion at Christmas 2013 in Koblenz, I am a great admirer, supporter and collector of the art of my school friend David Hardy, dit le Suisse Marocain. Through his art, I learned about David's aid projects for the children of Madagascar, which I would like to support.
